See video How to Make a Better DIY Air Purifier by Healthy Home Guide
Looks great until you have to change the filters. 😒
3M gonna announce Professor Corsi unfortunately suicided himself if he’s not careful
Thank you, Dr. C! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
can you use the sides of the box to create a circular shroud on the inside of the fan? that way the box is completely used. back panel for the bottom, front panel for the top (with circular hole cut out in the diameter of the fan blades), and hten the remaining thin edges would be used to create the circular shroud.
Please note in putting the box together he had one edge on inside and opposite edge one the outside. if you do this with all four you'll have a square instead of a rectangle. wasn't sure why that wasn't made clear and yeah, i know, most of us would say well that's obvious... but this is the internet after all.... also my guess is by putting those triangle corners you've lifted the fan enough that you've probably created about as much space as you remedied. so you could just make sure it's well taped?
Fun drinking game: Do a shot every time he says "Corsi-Rosenthal". You'll be hammered before the video reaches the halfway point.
You know, I want to ask if he knows the type of bearing the fan uses, a sleeve bearing or ball, because placing the fan like that with a sleeve bearing could cause it to go out pretty quick. Then I looked at the channel's name and think maybe that's a stupid question to ask a literal engineering professor.
Great video! This comment section is fucking awful though
use 12cm PC fans instead.
Say that box name one more time please😅
lol...ummm folks just do this ...takes less room and holds back smoke and oders better than any filter out there = just put window screen on back of fan and 2 Paterson of paper towls....TRUST ME...
I recently did some Sheetrock work in my house. Wish I had seen this video before that…
What would happen if you reversed the assembly so the fan sucks in air and pushes it out of the filters??
Dude it's a box, made out of 2 inch filters, and cardboard. It isn't proprietary.
USA should of been educating Americans on air purification methods during covid.
Airbrush artist Pat Gaines taught this a few decades ago.
Why are you wearing a mask?
Agree. No reason for anyone to feel so magnanimous as to think this is an original idea that warrants naming after themselves. Ridiculous.
"Promosm" 🔥
The blue tape is painters tape not duct tape right?
uh.. will that take large amounts of powder and dust out of the air?
Nice mask… sheep.
Wait until he invents the Corsi-Rosenthal box that has a particulates catch. I can’t wait to see it somewhere other than my workspace (for 6 years) it’ll be great. Also there’s a mod for preventing it from simply recirculating the air it just filtered
how you replace filters i have to keep building one every 3 months
Yes and it doesn't have all that stupid crap in it like wifi and lights to tell you when the filters need to be replaced. Because you can see the filter media ! LOL
no prefiltering, forget it. youll be replacing these filters every 6 months
No offense but think this is essentially just like typical air purifier, just with different materials and filter type to maximize the amount of clean air while maintaining low budget
I don't understand why the pull configuration is used, I would have thought the puss configuration would have worked better.
He should specify that the Tape he is using to tape the filters together is actually painter's tape was just basically micropore tape which basically filters air and keeps dust particles out same thing you using biology and science and medical field and all that
Just use a carbon can filter with matching can fan. This is hardly moving any air in comparison.
Saw this in “this old house” channel.
Oo! Show and tell!
I did this in my DIY paint booth about 8 years ago. How can you take credit for this?😂😂😂
very good presentation. Thanks.
Only a PHD could make something so obvious and simple appear complicated. Worked as an IT professional in higher ed for 26 years, and PHDs are, for the most part, insufferable pedantics. Stands for "Piled High and Deeper" don'tcha know
We need germs to survive
What ply tissue should we buy to stick on top?
Just think all that tape you used will be wasted every time. Cool idea but would rather have the oreck I have. Just rinse it out and reuse. No filters needed
I'm sure glad he's wearing an N-95, so he doesn't get Grandma sick. Get yer booster - right away!
You can save yourself some time. Condense this information into one succint sentence. The Professor wisely says: “ Duct Tape is amazing!”
The mask while filming this just screams liberal masking sickness.
imagine being such a sheep scared of regular air... touch some grass weirdos
I built one when I built a paint booth on the side of my house to paint my car. I think I missed my calling not using my GI bill at UC Davis
Why would I listen to a guy who is wearing a mask in a room by himself or with just one other person?
I would like to see a performance comparison with one assembled in the opposite flow direction : the fan pushing air through the filters, rathe than pulling air.
I look back on the whole mask movement and just laugh, how where we all this dumb... Looking at you idiots who are in a car alone wearing a mask. (also been using this in my woodshop though fo eva
Seriously man, just buy an air scrubber. Who’s going to do all that?
where would you even put this giant beast
I did this 34 years ago for my allergies. When I was 19 years old. But I wasn’t desperate for publicity so I didn’t name it after myself like these guys. Nor did I do it for some globalist Hysterical cluelessness
